Children Injured in Kennewick School District Bus Crash on East 27th Avenue [Benton County, WA]

Benton County, WA (October 06, 2021) – On Tuesday, children suffered injuries in the Kennewick School District Bus crash on East 27th Avenue.

The two-vehicle crash took place minutes after 8 a.m. at the intersection with South Gum Street.

Officers believed that a car driver failed to stop at the intersection and struck the side of the school bus at a high rate of speed. 

Deputies said the car driver appears to be a young male, though, it’s unknown if he’s a juvenile or not.
