Four-Vehicle Collision Reported near Sunny Dunes Road
PALM SPRINGS, CA (September 12, 2018) – A child was injured Wednesday morning in a multiple-car crash on Gene Autry Trail. The collision involved at least four vehicles.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place near Sunny Dunes Road. The child was inside a Toyota that collided with a white pickup truck. Due to impact, the Toyota landed in the right southbound lane at the southwest corner of the road.
Events leading up to the collision is currently unknown. Medics arrived at the scene of the accident and extricated the child from the car. The young victim was rushed to a local hospital for further treatment and evaluation. There is no update on the child’s current medical condition. Two other adults in the Toyota suffered minor injuries, but it is unclear if they were hospitalized.
