Vehicle and Bicycle Involved in Collision near Grove Avenue

RICHMOND, CA (December 13, 2018) – A child was down after a bicycle crash in the 1501 block of Fred Jackson Way, Thursday afternoon.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 3:19 PM, near Grove Avenue. Based on their report, the 7-year-old victim was struck by a silver vehicle in an unknown manner. The cause of the accident was not yet determined.

An ambulance requested for needed medical attention. The paramedics said that the child suffered injuries due to impact. The victim was conscious and breathing, but his condition was not yet released.

A clearing operation was performed in the area. The authorities are still trying to gather details from reports and witnesses. Additional information will be released following the conclusion of the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the authorities as soon as possible.
