Bonita Avenue Collision Injures Driver and Passenger

Santa Rosa, CA (January 26, 2023) – On Wednesday morning, a Chevrolet driver sustained fatal injuries following a River Road head-on collision.

The fatal collision took place at about 10:45 a.m. in the area of Bonita Avenue.

The CHP Santa Rosa authorities responded to the collision and said one vehicle left its lane while driving at an “unsafe speed” and collided with another vehicle.

According to the investigators, a Chevrolet Blazer S-10 was eastbound on River Road toward Bonita Avenue. Suddenly, a westbound GMC Canyon on River Road crossed lanes and veered sharply to the left, crashing head-on into the S-10 from the left.

The Chevrolet driver succumbed to their injuries at the scene. 

Moreover, the rescuers rushed the GMC Canyon driver and their passenger to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. The driver incurred minor injuries while the passenger was seriously injured.
