Cheryl Morrell Hurt in 2-Vehicle Crash on Highway 36 [Chiriaco Summit, CA]

Chiriaco Summit, CA (October 7, 2022) On Monday afternoon, 43-year-old Cheryl Morrell and 42-year-old Body Stanfill were injured in a 2-vehicle crash on Highway 36.

CHP say that the motorcycle-vehicle collision happened at around 4:49 p.m. east of Fredonyer Summit.

Reports say that Stanfil and Morrell, both of Westwood, were on a 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle that collided with a 2017 KIA Sedona driven by McCart, who is from Antelope.

Additionally, authorities say that the motorcyle was driven by Body Stanfill and Cheryl Morrell was his passenger.

Furthermore, officials say that the motorcycle crossed the yellow lines and went directly in the path of the KIA.

The impact of the collision ejected Stanfil and Morrell off their bike and landed on the roadway, paramedics say that both sustained major injuries. Medical personnel airlifted both patients to Renown Medical Center in Reno, Nevada.

Moreover, officials say that McCart provided help to Stanfill, who suffered a shattered femur, and Morrell, who suffered a compound leg fracture. Officials say that McCart did not suffer injuries.

Authorities are investigating the motorcycle-vehicle collision near Fredonyer Summit and have not provided further information at this time.
