Tire Comes off of Car Causing Crash on Interstate 5 near Milepost 75
CHEHALIS, WA (February 22, 2018) – On Thursday during rush hour, two people were hospitalized after an accident on Interstate 5 near milepost 75.
A car was driving southbound on the 5 freeway, when a tire came off and crossed over the Jersey barrier into a northbound vehicle.
According to the Washington State Patrol, one person was airlifted to the Harborview Medical center in critical condition. Another person sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the Providence Centralia Hospital. There is no update on the condition of the victims involved.
Officials continue to investigate the accident. The identities of the parties involved have not yet been released to the public.
