Person Hospitalized in Abilene DUI Collision
Abilene, TX (December 23, 2023) – 68-year-old Charles William Ferrell was killed in an E Highway 80 collision Thursday night.
It was about 7:30 p.m. when the solo-vehicle collision unfolded in the 800 block area.
APD officers said a silver Chevy Camaro occupied by two people was eastbound on the highway at a high rate of speed. It swerved off the roadway and crossed the median driving into the westbound lane.
The vehicle then struck a light pole and ejected Ferrell who was declared deceased at the scene while the other occupant was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
