Charles Main of Chandler Killed in Highway 31 Hit-and-Run Collision [Tyler, TX]

Tyler, TX (May 25, 2023) – On Tuesday, Charles Main, 55, of Chandler, lost his life following a Highway 31 hit-and-run collision.

The traffic accident happened at around 3:45 p.m. at the intersection with Patton Lane.

According to the investigating officers, a motorcycle driven by Main was westbound on the freeway and a pickup truck driven by Jeremy Cisneros, 19, of Smith County, was traveling on Patton Lane. 

The truck turned from Patton Lane onto Highway 31 in front of the motorcycle. As a result, the motorcycle collided with the truck killing Main at the scene. 

Cisneros, on the other hand, fled the crash scene.

The authorities later located the pickup truck and Cisneros turned himself in to the Smith County Jail on Wednesday. Officers booked him on a charge of an accident causing serious bodily injury or death, a second-degree felony, with a $75,000 bond.
