Chance Kennen, Aaron Arnold, Ricardo Ponce, Kristian Allen Hospitalized after Military Vehicle Accident
KITTITAS, WA (September 22, 2018) – Early Sunday morning, four people were hospitalized after an armored vehicle drove off a cliff.
According to reports, the green and tan 2018 Military Stryker was driving on an unnamed dirt road around 4:30 AM when it drove off a 25-foot cliff during a military exercise. The vehicle’s front-end was found facing the ground and the wheels were resting against the cliff.
The driver, 22-year-old Chance Kennen of Lecompte, Louisiana, stated that he did not see the cliff’s edge. Kennen was taken to the Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and was reportedly in stable condition. Three other passengers were sent to the Virginia Mason Memorial Hospital:35-year-old Aaron Arnold from Medway, Ohio 27-year-old Ricardo Ponce from Mission Hills; and 20-year-old Kristian Allen from Jensen, Utah.
Neither person was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. No additional information has been released to the public at this time, as the investigation continues.
