Officers Arrest Jason Miller in Moreno Valley Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash
Moreno Valley, CA (July 02, 2022) – On Friday, Cesar Tadeo-Preciado, 50, of Moreno Valley, died, while officers arrested Jason Miller, 34, in a DUI hit-and-run crash on Heacock Street.
The fatal crash took place at about 4:10 p.m. in the area of Ironwood Avenue.
When the authorities arrived, they located Cesar Tadeo-Preciado, the rider of a 2018 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle lying on the ground. He was unresponsive and suffering from life-threatening injuries. Minutes later, officers declared him dead at the scene.
The authorities located Jason Miller’s Infiniti Q50 sedan a block away from the scene with major front-end damage.
Apparently, the vehicle ran a red light and crashed with the motorcycle as it was making a left turn.
Jason Miller fled the scene but the authorities later arrested him at his home in Moreno Valley.
Officers booked Miller into the Robert Presley Detention Center. Police are charging him with suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, DUI causing death, and hit-and-run causing death.
Furthermore, 30-year-old Nicole Cox of Moreno Valley was accused of assisting Jason Miller in fleeing the crash scene. The authorities arrested and booked her into the Robert Presley Detention Center on suspicion of hit-and-run causing death and accessory after the fact.
