One Pronounced Dead after Two-Vehicle Accident on Gion Avenue in San Jose

 
San Jose, CA (April 13, 2020) – On Monday afternoon, Cesar Heredia of San Jose died in a two-vehicle accident on North White Road and Gion Avenue.
 
San Jose Police first received reports around 4:20 p.m., on April 13. Authorities immediately responded to the scene on North White Road and Gion Avenue.
 
According to reports, a black 2017 Nissan Rogue was traveling south on White Road when it attempted to turn left onto Gion Avenue.
 
There, the Nissan struck a southbound green Volkswagen Passat that was traveling in the northbound lane of White Road.
 
As a result of the impact, the Volkswagen rolled over and eventually collided with several unoccupied parked vehicles.
 
Furthermore, upon rescuers’ arrival, the driver of the Volkswagen, Cesar Heredia, was pronounced dead on scene.

The Release of Heredia’s Identity

 
Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office released the victim’s identity upon confirmation, and his family’s notification.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the Nissan remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation. At this time, an investigation remains on-going.
Unfortunately, Heredia’s death is the 15th fatal auto accident in the city this year.
