CBP Agent Injured, Jaime Alejandro Garcia Arrested in Hit-and-Run Crash Near Border Patrol Checkpoint [Temecula, CA]

Temecula, CA (December 14, 2021) – Yesterday, the authorities arrested 30-year-old Jaime Alejandro Garcia and 28-year-old Karen Devora in a hit-and-run DUI crash that injured a CBP agent near the Border Patrol checkpoint.

The officers received the crash report at about 2:30 a.m. north of Rainbow Valley Boulevard.

Investigators said the agent was conducting routine checkpoints when a northbound black Mini Cooper sped through the checkpoint and hit the agent at approximately 60 mph.

Garcia, the mini driver continued driving until Border Patrol agents pulled him over approximately a mile away from the crash scene.
