CASTRO VALLEY, CA – One Injured in 3-Vehicle Crash on 580 Freeway near Highway 238

Morning 3-Vehicle Wreck on 580 Freeway in Castro Valley Injures One

 
CASTRO VALLEY, CA (December 6, 2018) – One person was injured following a three-vehicle crash Thursday morning in Castro Valley.
 
The crash happened around 6:18 a.m. at the intersection of 580 Freeway and Highway 238.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a gray Jeep Grand Cherokee, a silver Honda Civic and another vehicle collided for unknown reasons. The impact caused one of the vehicles to overturn on its side.
 
One occupant was reportedly trapped inside a vehicle with unspecified injuries. An ambulance unit was dispatched to the scene and took the patient to a hospital.
 
The Honda sedan sustained major front-end damage and was towed away from the wreckage.
 
Due to several factors remained unclear, investigation is ongoing.
