Casey Jolly Killed in Pedestrian Accident on 15 Freeway in Baker

Temecula Man Casey Jolly Fatally Struck by Semi Truck in Baker

 
BAKER, CA (April 6, 2019) – A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a semi truck Saturday afternoon on 15 Freeway in Baker.
 
The victim was later identified as 42-year-old Casey Jolly from Temecula.
 
The fatal incident happened around 4:37 p.m. along the southbound lanes of 15 Freeway at Afton Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, Jolly was walking on the freeway when he was hit by a white 18-wheeler truck.
 
Responding paramedics performed CPR on the victim, but Jolly did not survive and was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
It is unknown if charges has been filed and liability has not yet been determined. The incident remains under investigation.
