32-Year-Old Carson Cox and Another, Killed on State Route 524 Crash

 
Bothell, WA (February 20, 2021) – On Friday, 32-year-old Carson Cox and another died, while police arrested 27-year-old Alec Gajdos in a hit-and-run crash on State Route 524.
 
The fatal crash took place at about 5:30 a.m. near the intersection with Nellis Road.
 
Officers said Gajdos struck Cox and an unidentified 40-year-old female. Unfortunately, the two victims died at the scene.
 
Gajdos fled the scene after the accident. However, officers tracked down the vehicle at a nearby 7-Eleven and arrested him a few hours later.
 
Furthermore, Washington State Patrol booked Gajdos into Snohomish County Jail for felony hit and run.
 
His vehicle was heavily damaged, with a caved-in windshield, missing headlights, and dented right front end.
 
Meanwhile, traffic crews closed State Route 524 for several hours as they cleared the scene.
