1 Hospitalized after Las Vegas Car Accident

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (September 9, 2019) – An 87-year-old man sustained critical injuries in a car accident on Jones Boulevard north of Craig Road on September 5.
 
According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, just after 5:00 p.m., a northbound 2009 Volkswagen Beetle on Jones Boulevard crashed with a 2001 Ford Crown Victoria. The Ford exited a private driveway on the east side of Jones Boulevard at the time of the accident.
 
Responders transported Carmelo Gattuso, the Ford driver, to University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
 
However, the Volkswagen driver remained at the scene and did not suffer from impairment.
 
Authorities are still investigating the crash. However, an investigation into the accident is ongoing.
