CHP Searching Suspect in Deadly Traffic Crash at Aguajito Road
Monterey, CA (June 2, 2023) On Wednesday, a 62-year-old Carmel resident died in a hit-and-run collision on Highway 1.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the deadly traffic crash happened on Highway 1 at Aguajito Road.
Reports say that the crash involved a white van that was hit and rolled over, officials say that at least one person was hospitalized due to the collision. Medics say that the 62-year-old Carmel resident died at the hospital.
Officials say that a silver vehicle with major front-end damage fled the scene after the incident without stopping at the crash scene.
Authorities say that the suspect driver and vehicle remain at-large.
