Palm Desert Solo-Vehicle Crash Kills 2
Riverside County, CA (May 25, 2024) – 21-year-old Carlos Juarez of Indio was killed following a Fred Waring Drive collision Friday morning.
The authorities responded at 6 a.m. to the solo-vehicle crash at the intersection with Painters Path in Palm Desert.
Firefighters extricated the driver, 20-year-old Aden Frankie Hernandez of Thermal, and the passenger, Carlos Juarez, were freed from the wreckage. They declared Hernandez deceased at the scene. Juarez was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries hours later.
Moreover, according to the authorities, they found evidence at the scene indicating the driver was traveling at a high rate of speed. Officers said the vehicle did not stop at the intersection and crashed into a brick wall. Further evidence indicated drugs/alcohol were possibly a factor.
