Carlos Govea Dead in Porter Ranch Accident on North Tampa Avenue

 
NORTHRIDGE, CA (March 7, 2021) – Saturday afternoon, Carlos Govea, 50, died in a two-vehicle crash on North Tampa Avenue in Northridge.
 
The Los Angeles Police Department Valley Traffic Division revealed that it happened at about 2:40 p.m.
 
Two cars crashed in the 10800 block of North Tampa Avenue.
 
After the crash, one of the cars was forced into a center median. Then, it crashed into a pole and trapped the driver. Meanwhile, the authorities confirmed that the trapped driver, Govea, succumbed to injuries at the scene.
 
Moreover, the driver of the second vehicle suffered no injuries, the LAFD said.
 
At this time, it’s still unclear what caused the Porter Ranch crash.
 
Due to the crash, one or more lanes of Tampa Avenue and Chatsworth Street remained unavailable as crews worked at the scene.
