Camry Driver Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on 16th Avenue [Lacey, WA]

Lacey, WA (May 19, 2022) – On Sunday, two drivers sustained injuries in a two-vehicle crash on 16th Avenue.

The authorities responded to the crash scene at about 5:03 p.m. in the area of College Street Southeast.

 Officers say a Cadillac driven by a 44-year-old male driver attempted to cross College Street from 16th Avenue westbound but failed to stop. 

As a result, the Cadillac crashed into a southbound Toyota Camry on College Street.

Subsequently, the Camry collided with a fence before it stopped. The Cadillac crossed College Street and struck the corner of an Allstate Insurance building which resulted in a gas leak. 

Luckily, no one was inside the business and no one sustained injuries in the incident. However, the business sustained major damage.

Moreover, the Cadillac driver tried to escape the scene but was found by the authorities. The authorities took the driver to the hospital before booking him into jail on suspicion of vehicular assault and hit and run charges.

The paramedics took the Camry driver to the hospital with broken bones and lacerations.
