3 Injured in Ellensburg Accident on Highway 97

 
ELLENSBURG, WA (July 28, 2020) – Sunday morning, Camara Rice and Jeremy Sysbertz suffered injuries in a crash on Highway 97.
 
According to reports, a southbound vehicle drove off the Highway 97, hit a metal gate, and landed on its top just after 9:00 a.m.
 
The WSP revealed that responders airlifted a 1995 Pontiac passenger, 24-year-old Jordan Hanson of Kittitas, to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with his injuries.
 
Due to the crash, Jordan Hanson was listed in critical condition in the intensive care unit.
 
Meanwhile, 19-year-old vehicle driver Camara Rice of Roslyn and 30-year-old passenger Jeremy Sysbertz of Cle Elum suffered less injuries. Responders took both of them to Kittitas Valley Healthcare.
 
The State Patrol revealed that Camara Rice and Jeremy Sysbertz wore seatbelts. However, Jordan Hanson did not.
 
The authorities added that the cause of the crash remains under active investigation.
 
Rice and Sybertz were wearing seatbelts but Hanson was not, according to the State Patrol.
