1 Hospitalized after Riverside Car Collision on 91 Freeway

 
RIVERSIDE, CA (September 3, 2019) – A CHP officer sustained injuries in a car collision on 91 Freeway on August 30.
 
After the Riverside police wrapped up a call about a suicidal person on 91 Freeway east of Van Buren Boulevard, the crash occurred. As a result, the Caltrans truck and the police car crashed shortly after 4:00 p.m.
 
The officer sustained serious injuries. As a result, the victim went to the hospital where he is in stable condition.
 
“Caltrans hopes for a full recovery for the Riverside officer injured in today’s collision. We are fully cooperating with the California Highway Patrol in their investigation and will provide comment after the investigation is complete,” a Caltrans statement revealed.
 
The Caltrans worker didn’t suffer any injury. Meanwhile, authorities are still investigating the crash.
