Whatcom Transportation Authority Bus Involved in Lynden Traffic Collision
Lynden, WA (December 20, 2023) – A bus driver sustained minor injuries following an E Pole Road collision Monday night.
It was about 7:55 p.m. on December 18 when the collision between a Whatcom Transportation Authority bus and a 2012 GMC Acadia SUV at the intersection with Hannegan Road.
The accident report said the bus ended up colliding with the fuel pump island and canopy supports and a large part of the canopy went down over the fuel pumps islands.
Luckily, this collision did not result in fire.
Investigators said 3 patients were assessed at the scene and 1 was transported to a local hospital via ambulance.
Officers are investigating.
