Police Investigate Bus Crash on Highway 287 in Fort Worth

Fort Worth, TX (April 25, 2025) – A bus driver was hospitalized after a crash on Highway 287.

On Friday afternoon, a charter bus carrying nearly 60 passengers to a church concert series collided with a semi-truck in far north Fort Worth.

Around noon, the bus — which included students from the Singing Youth of Denver — crashed on southbound U.S. Highway 287, just north of Bonds Ranch Road, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Royal Coach Charters confirmed that the bus, traveling from Childress to Houston for a scheduled church concert, rear-ended a semi-truck trailer after traffic abruptly stopped.

Fortunately, no passengers required hospitalization. The company stated that paramedics transported the bus driver to a hospital as a precaution, and they are arranging her travel plans following her release. 

Meanwhile, alternate transportation was quickly provided, allowing the passengers to continue their trip as planned.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash.
