WCSO Investigates Car-Bus Collision between Aldrich Road and Old Guide Road
Lynden, WA (May 4, 2023) On Tuesday morning, a school bus accident on W Pole Road resulted in injuries.
According to the Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO), the car-bus collision happened around 7:20 a.m. in the 500 block on W Pole Road, between Aldrich and Old Guide Roads.
Reports say that a car and a Meridian School District school bus, with 9 children on board, collided. Officials say that crash closed the road for about 2 hours.
First responders rescued the trapped car driver from the wrecked car. Meanwhile, 2 out of the 9 students suffered minor injuries and was released at the scene, the bus driver did not suffer injuries.
Officials say that the driver of the car sustained serious injuries and was transported to PeaceHealth St Joseph Medical Center.
MCSO is investigating the school bus accident and has not released further details about the incident.
