Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Car near Knott Avenue
BUENA PARK, CA (May 10, 2018) – A man was struck and killed in a pedestrian collision on Highway 91, late Thursday morning.
The accident took place around 10 AM in the left westbound lane of the 91 Freeway, near Knott Avenue. According to reports, the pedestrian was attempting to walk across the highway, when struck by a Honda Civic.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, and the Orange County Coroner was called to the scene. Three lanes of the westbound 91 highway, including the carpool lane, were closed for several hours while authorities investigated. Police officials continue to investigate to uncover how and why the unidentified man was on the freeway.
