BUENA PARK, CA – 1 Dead in Multi-Car Crash on Auto Center Drive Off-Ramp of 5 Freeway

Fatal Multi-Vehicle Collision Reported in Buena Park

 
BUENA PARK, CA (January 2, 2019) – At least one person perished Monday in a multi-vehicle collision at the Auto Center Drive off-ramp from the 5 Freeway.
 
Authorities are investigating this deadly crash that involved at least three vehicles. The incident was reported around 4:53 a.m. on the northbound 5 Freeway, California Highway Patrol said.
 
Reports noted that one vehicle struck a second one and then hit a wall at the Auto Center Drive off-ramp. A third vehicle was somehow involved and struck a wall at the same spot. Two other vehicles tried avoiding the crash but collided with each other.
 
A separate report indicated that one of the vehicles involved was stalled on the freeway.
 
A Sigalert was issued at 5:33 a.m. for all northbound lanes and a coroner was called to the scene at 5:28 a.m.
 
There were no details regarding the injured and fatal victims.
