1 Dead in Los Angeles Workplace Accident on 29100 Avenue Penn

LOS ANGELES, CA (April 23, 2025) – Tuesday afternoon, a construction worker died in a brutal workplace accident on 29100 Avenue Penn.

The incident happened at around 12:08 p.m. near the 29100 block of Avenue Penn in the Valencia Commerce Center, the CHP Newhall-area Public Information Officer Carlos Burgos-Lopez said.

A construction worker was killed after being run over by a construction truck at a job site, according to the California Highway Patrol’s Newhall-area office.

CHP and Los Angeles County firefighters responded to the scene. It was initially reported that the worker fell off the truck. However, investigators later determined the man was inside the vehicle before somehow ending up in front of it. The truck then rolled forward and struck him.

The worker was pronounced dead at the scene.

CHP officers remained on site to investigate and speak with witnesses.
