DENTON, TX (December 26, 2024) – Wednesday night, a brutal pedestrian crash on University Drive and Ruddell Street killed one person.

The incident happened at around 6:38 p.m. on University Drive and Ruddell Street.

According to reports, a car struck a pedestrian and a dog for still unknown reasons.

Moreover, responders rushed the pedestrian to a hospital where the patient was later pronounced dead. Also, officers confirmed that the dog died in the crash.

Furthermore, the crash closed the westbound lanes of University Drive but has long since reopened.
