CASTAIC, CA (February 6, 2025) – Tuesday night, a man died in a brutal pedestrian crash on Golden State Freeway near Parker Road.

The crash happened just before 8:10 p.m. on the northbound Golden State Freeway near Parker Road exit.

Officers responded to reports of a pedestrian on the freeway near the Parker Road exit, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Authorities said the man, identified only as a Hispanic male in his mid-30s, appeared to be crossing lanes on foot at the time of the crash.

The vehicle involved, described as a 2014-2019 Toyota Corolla of an unknown color, fled the scene, continuing northbound on the freeway.
