1 Dead in Pacific Beach Pedestrian Accident on 4200 Mission Bay Drive

PACIFIC BEACH, CA (August 26, 2024) – Saturday night, a man was arrested after brutal pedestrian crash on 4200 Mission Bay Drive.

The incident occurred at about 8:55 p.m. in the 4200 block of Mission Bay Drive. According to reports, as a man ran mid-block, a driver of a 2003 Subaru WRX didn’t yield and hit the victim.

The police reported that the pedestrian was partially hidden by a large pickup truck that had already come to a stop. The pedestrian, whose name has not yet been disclosed, was declared dead at the scene. Authorities arrested the 23-year-old Subaru driver on suspicion of driving under the influence.
