1 Dead in Port Isabel Pedestrian Accident on 400 N Yturria Street

PORT ISABEL, TX (February 27, 2025) – Tuesday morning, a person died in a brutal pedestrian crash on 400 N Ytturia Street.

The incident happened at 7:45 a.m. in the 400 block of N Ytturia Street.

A preliminary report stated that a red F-150 truck struck a person. Local law enforcement and EMS responded quickly, transporting the woman to Valley Regional Hospital in Brownsville for treatment. 

Authorities confirmed she sustained critical injuries. The driver of the F-150 stopped to render aid and is cooperating with the investigation. 

Later that day, the woman died from her injuries. Port Isabel Police are conducting a thorough investigation to determine the incident’s circumstances.

“We extend our thoughts and prayers to the pedestrian and their family during this difficult time. The safety of our community is our top priority, and we urge all drivers and pedestrians to remain vigilant and cautious while on the road,” the police department stated online.
