SACRAMENTO, CA (February 20, 2025) – Wednesday night, a brutal pedestrian crash near North B Street and Dos Rios Street killed 1 person.

The incident happened at 8:00 p.m. near North B Street and Dos Rios Street.

By 8:35 p.m., officials reported that traffic was affected as crews worked to gather more details, advising commuters to take alternate routes.

At 10:10 p.m., officers found an adult female in the roadway. Sacramento Fire responded, but she was pronounced dead at the scene. Initial reports suggested she was on a bicycle, but authorities later confirmed she was a pedestrian.

A motor officer later spotted a vehicle matching the description near 5th and I Streets. 

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
