SAN JOSE, CA (March 17, 2024) – Friday night, a brutal pedestrian accident on Interstate 280 and Vine Street killed 1 person.

The crash involving a pedestrian and a vehicle happened at 11:04 p.m.

When officers arrived, they determined that a BMW hit a pedestrian on southbound Interstate 280, north of Vine Street.

Moreover, the victim was located unresponsive and was transported to a hospital.

Also, the BMW driver, a 27-year-old San Jose resident, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. The driver is a 27-year-old San Jose resident.

Furthermore, the authorities haven’t clarified why the pedestrian entered the freeway.
