Pedestrian Dies After Being Hit by Truck in Brookdale

 
BROOKDALE, CA (February 14, 2019) – A 47-year-old man was fatally struck by a pickup truck along Highway 9 near Larkspur Street Tuesday afternoon.
 
The incident happened around 2:25 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. The 47-year-old man, a Brookdale resident, was lying in the roadway for unknown reasons and was run over by a 2010 Ford F-350 hauling a trailer.
 
The driver of the truck did not see him and drove over him, CHP officials confirmed.
 
The 57-year-old driver from Brookdale stayed at the scene and was not arrested. The details concerning this crash are still under investigation. The identity of the victim will be released once he has been identified.
