Brittni Frace Dead and Brynn Frace Critically Injured on 198 Freeway Near Interstate 5
COALINGA, CA (January 16, 2018) – Former Atascadero High School track star, Brittni Frace, was killed in a semi-truck accident on Highway 198 around 10 AM Tuesday morning.
California Highway Patrol reports state that Brittini was sitting passenger in a 2004 Chevy Tahoe driver by her older sister, Brynn Frace. The two had stopped at an intersection after getting gas near Interstate 5, when Brynn attempted to turn east onto Highway 198 and went in front of a semi-truck heading west.
The semi hit the left side of the Tahoe at about 40 miles per hour, killing Brittni at the scene and critically injuring Brynn. She was transported to the Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno, and was reported be in life-threatening condition. Truck driver, Terry Lee Keeling of Exeter, was not injured in the crash.
No other information has been released to the public from authorities.
Heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Brittni Frace, and a successful recovery to her sister, Bryyn. Brittni was a 20-year-old sophomore at Chico State University, and a passionate runner on the cross country and track and field teams. May she rest in peace.
