Britni Warner Injured, Alfred Estrada Arrested in DUI Crash on Highway 299 [Trinity County, CA]

Britni Irene Warner Hospitalized Following Highway 299 DUI Crash

Trinity County, CA (December 30, 2020) – On Christmas Day, 25-year-old Britni Warner , of Boise, Idaho was injured while police arrested 29-year-old Alfred Estrada of Weaverville, in a DUI crash on Highway 299.

Estrada was driving a 2006 Honda westbound on Highway 299, west of Tucker Hill Road.

At the same time, Ms. Warner was driving a 2012 Hyundai heading eastbound on Highway 299 west of Tucker Hill Road.

Due to Estrada’s level of intoxication, he was unable to control his vehicle while negotiating a sweeping right-hand turn.

Estrada’s vehicle spun and crossed over the double yellow lines. It went out of control, directly into the path of Warner’s Hyundai.

Unfortunately, Britni was unable to avoid a crash.

As a result, her vehicle crashed with the driver’s side of the Honda.

The impact of the crash and the fact that Estrada was not wearing a seatbelt caused him to be thrown from his vehicle.

Both Warner and Estrada sustained major injuries.

Immediately, responders took them to Mercy Medical Center in Redding.

Meanwhile, the CHP arrested Estrada for DUI at the scene of the crash. Then, they later released him to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Britni Warner sustained a broken knee, and is now riddled with medical debt of 100k.

Ways to Deal with DUI Accidents

Each year, around 20-50 million people are injured or become disabled due to an auto crash. To avoid suffering from such incidents, practice safe driving habits on the road at all times.

As a driver, it’s your responsibility to do it even when it is empty, even when there is no police officer around to make sure you make, say, a complete stop.

Even with the best driving habits, it is still important to know what to do if you find yourself in a motor vehicle accident

Steve Baric of Sweet Lawyers says, “The most valuable step you can take in response to a vehicle crash is hiring a personal injury attorney. Personal injury attorneys prioritize your recovery. At the same time, they will secure your future from further losses a severe accident can bring.”
