BRIDGEPORT, CA (March 27, 2019) – Two people and one dog were killed following a car accident Wednesday morning in Bridgeport.

The fatal crash happened around 6:40 a.m. on southbound Highway 395, just North of Conway Vista Point.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a Ford Fusion was heading southbound on the highway at an unknown speed, when it traveled to the west and off the road, then south against the hillside. The car then hit the guardrail and continued down the embankment, overturning several times.

The right front passenger was located inside the car, while the driver was ejected. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities were not immediately available pending notification of their family members.
