South Lamont Street Traffic Crash Injures 12-Year-Old Boy
Las Vegas, NV (March 19, 2023) – On Friday, Brianna Castanedas, 21, from Las Vegas, was involved in a scooter accident on East Charleston Boulevard injuring a 12-year-old boy.
The traffic incident took place at around 5:03 p.m. in the area of South Lamont Street.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police officers said a 2015 Nissan Altima driven by Castanedas was eastbound on East Charleston Boulevard when it struck the boy on a scooter in the marked crosswalk.
Investigators said the boy activated the pedestrian crossing lights while Charleston failed to yield to the right of way.
The boy sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to Sunrise Pediatric Hospital.
Meanwhile, Brianna Castanedas remained on scene and displayed no signs of impairment.
