1 Dead and 1 Injured in Walnut Creek Pedestrian Accident on N Main Street and Pine Street

 
WALNUT CREEK, CA (July 31, 2022) – Saturday, authorities arrested Briana Day after a deadly pedestrian crash on N Main Street and Pine Street.
 
The incident occurred at around 1:50 a.m. in the area of N Main Street and Pine Street.
 
When the authorities arrived, they found a pickup truck that crashed with two pedestrians. According to reports, the truck hit the pedestrians as they walked on the east sidewalk of N Main Street.
 
Then, the vehicle crashed into a cement pillar.
 
As a result, responders took one victim to the hospital with major injuries. Meanwhile, the other victim died at the scene.
 
Then, authorities arrested the 28-year-old driver, Briana Day of Concord, for driving under the influence and vehicular manslaughter.
 
Authorities booked Briana Day at Martinez Detention Facility on $300,000 bail.
 
Furthermore, authorities urged anyone with information about the incident to call Walnut Creek PD Dispatch at 925-935-6400.
