Brian Schee Killed in Palm Springs Bus Crash on Indian Canyon Drive
PALM SPRINGS, CA (July 29, 2019) – A pedestrian identified as 29-year-old Brian Schee died in a crash involving a SunLine bus.
The crash happened just before 9:35 a.m. on Friday, July 26, in the area of Indian Canyon Drive between Tachevah Drive and Tamarisk Road.
The Palm Springs Police Department temporarily closed North Indian Canyon Drive in the area in both directions for their investigation. This area of the roadway remained closed until 3:25 p.m.
SunLine stated that the Palm Springs Police Department issued a news release on Friday afternoon. It said that the surveillance footage showed that the pedestrian intentionally stepped in front of the path of the bus before they were struck.
The release also said that it appeared as though the bus driver was unable to avoid the incident.
