1 Dead in Odessa DUI Crash on 6100 North Grandview
ODESSA, TX (January 1, 2025) – Last December 22, Breanna Pinick was arrested after a brutal auto accident on 6100 North Grandview.
The incident happened at about 8:43 p.m. at 6100 North Grandview.
A 25-year-old man driving a gray Dodge Ram was traveling southbound on the 6100 block of North Grandview when a white Chevrolet Cruze, driven by 20-year-old Pinick, collided with him head-on. Police state that Pinick was driving northbound in the southbound lanes with a 15-year-old female and a five-year-old male as passengers.
The crash resulted in serious injuries for both passengers, who were transported to Medical Center Hospital (MCH) in Odessa. The five-year-old was later airlifted to Lubbock. Pinick and the 25-year-old driver of the Dodge Ram sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were also taken to MCH for treatment.
Authorities determined Pinick was intoxicated at the time of the crash. She was arrested and charged with two counts of intoxication assault causing serious bodily injury and interfering with public duties. She was booked into Ector County Jail on December 23 and released on December 29 after posting a $25,000 bond.
On Monday, the five-year-old succumbed to their injuries, leading to an upgrade in Pinick’s charges. As of Tuesday, she faces charges of intoxication manslaughter, intoxication assault causing serious bodily injury, and interfering with public duties.
Pinick has also been cited for driving without a license and driving on the wrong side of the roadway. Her bond remains pending. Court records indicate that in November 2023, Pinick had been granted community supervision for a prior interfering with public duties charge.
