CARLSBAD, CA (April 5, 2021) – On Sunday, Brayand Alejandro Cambell-Davilla, 23, died in an accident on Interstate 5.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened just after 4:45 a.m.
 
Indeed, the incident took place northbound on the 5 Freeway, south of Tamarack Avenue.
 
Reports confirmed that a vehicle overturned and collided with the center divider.
 
Apparently, Cambell-Davilla’s 2008 Hyundai Elantra veered left.
 
Then, it hit the center divider northbound on I-5.
As a result, the car spun out, re-entered the freeway, and finally came to a stop.
 
Moreover, police say Cambell-Davilla probably exited on his own car.
 
That is when he was struck by two passing cars, which also hit his vehicle.
 
Meanwhile, two other vehicles rolled over due to the impact of the initial crash. The drivers sustained minor injuries.
 
The crash on Interstate 5 and Tamarack Avenue remains under active investigation. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
