Brayan Castro-Romero and Maela Garcia Dead in Los Banos Accident at Almond Drive and Ortigalita Road

 
LOS BANOS, CA (January 3, 2021) – Saturday morning, Brayan Castro-Romero and Maela Garcia were found dead after a crash near Almond Road and Ortigalita Road.
 
According to CHP Officer Anthony Carreiro, responders found both people down the Delta-Mendota Canal.
 
At this time, the authorities are still trying to determine whether the bodies are linked with the vehicle that sank in the canal.
 
The deputies came to the scene at the canal at 9:35 a.m. near Almond Road and Ortigalita Road.
 
“The vehicle crashed into the north guard rail and went into the Delta Mendota,” Carreiro revealed.
 
The vehicle completely sunk in the water. Later, the authorities identified the occupants in the submerged vehicle as Brayan Castro-Romero, 21, and Maela Garcia .
 
Thus, the Merced County Sheriff’s Dive Team responded.
 
After some time, the corpses of a male and a female were located a mile away from the vehicle in the canal.
