20-Year-Old Motorcyclist Hurt in 2-Vehicle Hit-and-Run Collision on Sunny Drive NE
Moses Lake, WA (May 26, 2023) On Thursday, Moses police arrested 37-year-old Brandon Miner in relation to a hit-and-run accident on Stratford Road.
According to the Moses Police Department (MPD), the 2-vehicle collision happened around 6 p.m. at the intersection of Stratford Road and Sunny Drive NE.
Reports say that Miner was driving a pickup that collided with a motorcycle at the intersection. The impact of the collision ejected the 20-year-old motorcyclist, who suffered serious injuries and was lying on the road.
Medics treated the injured patient at the scene and was later transported to a hospital.
Meanwhile, Miner fled the scene without rendering aid to the fallen motorcyclist. Officials say that Miner stop a few miles outside the city limits, attempting to remove the motorcycle that got attached to the front of the pickup.
Authorities were able to catch Brandon Miner a little while later in the morning near Road N NE and Road 6.9 NE. Officials say that Miner abandoned his vehicle and was on foot at the time of the arrest.
Police booked Miner into the Grant County Jail on charges of DUI, vehicular assault, injury hit-and-run, evidence tampering, and obstruction.
