Brandon Gonzales Identified as Victim in Bakersfield Accident on Golden State Avenue

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (UPDATE) – On Sunday afternoon, Brandon Gonzales, 22, succumbed to critical injuries in a rollover crash on Golden State Avenue.
 
The incident occurred just before 3:00 p.m. in the westbound lanes of Golden State Avenue, just south of the Airport Drive exit. An off-duty CHP officer witnessed the crash in his rearview mirror and responded right away.
 
According to reports, two people traveled in an SUV during the crash. CHP added that the driver tried to make a maneuver pass near a construction zone at Airport Drive. As a result, the driver lost control and the vehicle overturned and landed on its roof.
 
Furthermore, the crash ejected one person from the vehicle. However, the authorities confirmed that both occupants sustained major injuries.
 
Officials later revealed that it was Mr. Gonzales who was ejected, the impact killing him.
