Child Undergoes Surgery Following Highland Pedestrian Accident on 9th Street Near Valaria Drive

 
HIGHLAND, CA (June 17, 2019) – A 6-year-old boy underwent surgery Saturday following a pedestrian accident on 9th Street near Valaria Drive.
 
According to officials, the incident happened in the 26400 block of 9th Street. Per San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials, the boy is a resident of the property, where the incident occurred.
 
It appears a relative of his struck him under unknown circumstances.
 
Once deputies arrived around 9:12 p.m., they found the 6-year-old with apparent injuries. Paramedics rushed him to Loma Linda University Medical Center soon after.
 
An update on the child’s condition is not available at this time; however, he did undergo immediate surgery following the accident.
