1 Hurt in Lake Havasu City Boat Accident on Lake Havasu

 
LAKE HAVASU CITY, AZ (June 15, 2021) – Saturday afternoon, a 16-year-old boy suffered critical injuries in a boat crash on Lake Havasu.
 
At about 3:45 p.m., the teen rode a Honda personal watercraft on the north side of the lake. Then, he collided with a boat and the impact threw him off his water scooter. Eventually, he landed in the water and was knocked out.
 
After the crash, the boat riders reported to 911 and brought him to the boat. Then, first responders transported him to Havasu Regional Medical Center. Afterward, responders airlifted him to a Las Vegas hospital. The boat riders suffered no serious injuries.
 
Meanwhile, MCSO revealed that the teen came from Rialto, California and a 49-year-old man from Kingman drove the 28-foot boat.
 
Also, the deputies do not believe that alcohol played a role in the crash. However, it appeared that the teen was speeding.
 
The authorities continue to investigate the crash.
