PORT GAMBLE, WA (February 8, 2023) – Late Saturday, a 24-year-old Bothell woman suffered injuries in a DUI crash on Highway 104 near Rainier Avenue.

According to reports, a 23-year-old Kirkland woman veered off a 108-foot cliff near Rainier Avenue in Port Gamble.
As a result, the driver and a 24-year-old Bothell woman suffered critical injuries.
Responders airlifted the driver to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Meanwhile, they took the passenger to St. Michael Medical Center in Silverdale.
According to a WSP memo, a 2017 Ford Escape headed east on Highway 104 in Port Gamble. Then, the driver failed to negotiate a 90-degree right-hand turn and veered off the road. The vehicle went over the steep embankment and came to a rest on the shoreline. Also, officers confirmed that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
