BORREGO SPRINGS, CA – Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on Borrego Salton Seaway

Afternoon Motorcycle Accident in Borrego Springs Ends in Fatality

 
BORREGO SPRINGS, CA (April 9, 2019) – An unidentified motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Borrego Salton Seaway Tuesday afternoon.
 
California State Officials received reports of the collision around 4:58 p.m. First responders then arrived to area on Borrego Saton Seaway, about a mile East of the county line.
 
Authorities say a red Harley-Davidson motorcycle went down on the side of the road for unknown reasons. The rider suffered major injuries as a result of the accident.
 
Arriving paramedics eventually took the rider to a hospital, where the individual was declared dead. A coroner was immediately notified to conduct a full report.
 
Furthermore, the identity of the victim has not yet been released pending next of kin notification.
 
It is currently unknown if speed, drugs and/or alcohol were contributing factors in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
